Umformtechnik Radebeul GmbH
Forged functionality
Modern hydraulic and eccentric deburring presses, the latest jetheating technology for the optimum heating of unmachined parts, seven spindle press systems up to 16,000 kN pressure and material-saving metal forming processes contribute to the unique technical possibilities of Umformtechnik Radebeul GmbH.
“We make the production of aluminium forgings possible where others have long given up,” confirms Managing Shareholder Dipl.-Ing. Stephan Schneider, who took over the company’s management together with Dipl.-Ing.(FH) Mike Müller in 2005. “Now as before, the production of aluminium forgings is our core competence, though our customer base has continuously expanded over the last few years.”
Indeed, since 2005 Umformtechnik Radebeul has developed from a mainly automotive supplier to a service and supply partner to a variety of industrial branches, for example the electrical fittings industry, valve technology, awnings construction and the bicycle industry.

Mr. Schneider rightly welcomes the positive development in the business sectors he has newly opened, as the distribution of risks has gained the company a balanced order situation and great stability in view of the future.
By the same token, its diversification efforts have increased the production depth of the traditional enterprise founded back in 1902. Aluminiumtechnik Radebeul GmbH was established in 2006 under the management of Mr. Schneider and Mr. Müller to complement the existing offer by services such as tools construction, prototype production, parts processing and assembly. All in all, the two companies have 99 employees and aspire to annual revenues of over twelve million EUR in 2012.
In view of the company’s varied clientele with a total of 15 supplied sectors and its wide-ranging acknowledgement as an expert for special solutions and small to medium production lots, the chances for the realisation of this aim are excellent.
This is also confirmed by its growing acceptance abroad: Umformtechnik Radebeul GmbH generates about 30% of its turnover in the export sector, mainly in Switzerland, Austria, Great Britain, Thailand and the Czech Republic, plus another 15% via indirect exports. With an investment volume of four million EUR for the coming two years, the company continues to stake on expansion – the conditions for sustainable growth are met.
